Where We Are, Who We Are And Where We Are Going
Robert Murray -Smith had several projects under development including an electric vehicle and cap/battery technologies due for release last year. I thought it was timely we revisit him given his latest video release outlining his latest battery technology.
Business Dealings:
Some videos were posted on his twitter account that have since been removed. These videos discussed his association Sun Vault & Edison Power in not so favorable terms and now according to him, he is not working with them. He claims to have lost personal funds because they did not pay as promised. They did make some payments for research the said he was doing with his team at the time..
His latest video is about how this has led to finishing work on a battery that is in it’s 5th iteration. The claim for their battery performance was about 4-5 time the energy density of lithium ion. (this would be a game changer)
I am not writing this article attacking Robert, but some questions do come to mind. Often investors cease payments if performance criteria or milestones are not met. I am not suggesting that is the case , other than stating there are always two sides to the story.
I have few concerns.
- Many of the claims and timelines in which they were to manifest in various formats never came about. This includes the electric car.
- I have not seen any independent peer review or third party testing of his technologies.
- Robert tends to be rather defensive and attacks many who try and clarify test methodologies and data interpretation, or argues the maths.
We have covered Robert many times in the past. I personalty wish him the best and some of his video’s have been very helpful to my own research.
